Based in Darwin Minnesota, Lakeview Ranch has two residential homes for the elderly with challenging/aggressive behavior. Through continued investment in high staff to resident ratio, and a shared commitment to quality, Lakeview Ranch is building stronger communities by providing a peace of mind to families for those with dementia. Through high staff to resident ratio, the Ranch is widely focused on quality care and restoring dignity to persons with dementia. Specially trained staff are able to prevent “challenging behaviors” with no or limited use of drugs. This approach eliminates multiple hospital visits therefore saving healthcare dollars in the long-run.

Philosophy:
We truly believe life does not and should not end with a diagnosis of Dementia or memory loss, whether it is from Alzheimer’s disease or any other disease that causes Dementia. Our premier residential homes are specifically designed for caring for those living with memory loss. We pair that with superior care from loving staff that have been specifically trained to care for persons with dementia. That is enhanced by our exceptionally high staff to resident ratio that allows for residents to continue with many familiar life activities. Our staff focuses on meeting each resident’s emotional and spiritual needs in addition to their physical needs. Residents are encouraged to make most of their own decisions about how they want to live their daily lives, greatly diminishing depression and some of the challenging behaviors that often accompany transfer from independent living. Our highly trained staff are available 24hrs per day to enhance their every day lives and encourage independence where possible.
